Forest School Birthday Parties

Celebrate your wild child's birthday in style, the Forest School way, whatever the weather this season.
Our Forest School birthday parties are perfect for children aged 4 and up.

A few of the activities we offer are:
Play woodland games with plenty of time to explore our site in between,
Learn how to light a camp fire safely the 'forest school way' with a flint and steel,
Build dens and shelters together,
Learn how to toast marshmallows and cook popcorn on the fire,

If your child has any special requests, we are happy to talk about tailoring our party for them.

All our parties include;
- Use of our established forest school site, complete with mud kitchen, hammock, wheelbarrows and nature pond.
- A
campfire lunch including  proper sausages in rolls served under our rustic woodland shelter (vegetarian options can be provided if requested in advance).
- Marshmallows for toasting and popcorn cooked on the camp fire,
- Hot chocolate (served in colourful plastic cups - you are welcome to provide your own if you prefer).
- Sauces, serviettes and a covered table to lay everything out on.
You are welcome to bring along additional snacks and your own cake.

Our groups are run by fully qualified and insured Level 3 Forest School Leaders, with all relevant outdoor first aid training and equipment to give you full peace of mind for your little ones.

Facilities on site and Accessibility
The small nature reserve is used by both local schools throughout the week, so our profits go towards improving and maintaining the site for all of it's users. The site has a copse area,  a nature pond, mud kitchen and all weather rustic shelter.

We do not have access to the local school for use of their toileting facilities so we suggest you go before you come. We have a basic 'toilet shed' with a camping toilet in, contact us if you would like more information about our toileting policy.

The site is accessible by wheelchair and buggy however some parts of the site can on occasion get very muddy or uneven in wet weather.

There is no parking allowed on the school site due to COVID restrictions. However there is free parking on surrounding residential roads. We ask all our visitors to be considerate of local residents and Brookfields School when choosing where to park. Please do not park on yellow lines, grass verges or blocking driveways and allow yourself good time to park, get your kids out and waterproofed up.

Prices and availability
Parties run on Saturdays from 10.30-12.30 or 1.30-3.30. We can cater for up to 15 children at the moment (Covid restrictions as of August 2020).
We charge £250 for the party which includes; the food and drink provided, site rental, use of all equipment, fully qualified staff and insurance.
We ask for a deposit of £65 with your booking form. We suggest you book ahead to avoid disappointment. Upon booking, we will send you a confirmation  email along with all of the information and consent forms for you to give to the parent/carers of your guests. Consent forms are an essential requirement for all guests.

For a booking form, to check our availability or if you have any questions, please get in touch through the contact tab.

Finding the party site
The site is listed on Google Maps (see below). Please ensure you follow directions to Sage Road RG31 6GG  (not Westwood Farm School) and look for our sign which will be out on the day. Westwood Farm School and Brookfields School do not have any involvement in the administration of these parties and won't be able to help with any queries or provide parking.

The site is NOT accessible from Westwood Farm School, so if you arrive there you will need to walk around the entire site to access the entrance; google maps estimates this takes about 9 minutes on foot via the footpath if you follow directions to Westwood Farm Wild Woods,
Sage Road, RG31 6GG .

All enquiries should go through our website contact form or instagram @wildcityforestschool.
