'Being part of a toddler forest school type group was hugely important to me as a first time mum. Getting outside and into the sense based space of the natural world helped my wellbeing and gave my child wounderful opportunities and freedoms. Routines and demands of newborns and toddlers can sometime mean a lot of time confined to the indoors. So being able to have space, sky, trees, wind, rain, sun, company and someone bring you a cup of tea and a biscuit, sounds simple but was massively important for my mental health. It was always a highlight of my week!' Claire, mother at our Parent Toddler group
"I have been to two groups that Kat has run over the years. Both times I was drawn to them because of the activities offered for the kids, but they became a point of hope in my week for me. Having suffered from PND with both my children, I found the inclusivity and welcoming environment Kat created was something my social anxiety could manage. I made friends and found myself surrounded by mums who were honest, open and encouraging. Seeing the kids able to explore in a safe environment and knowing I would have that chance each week to chat freely about the struggles as well as the joys of parenting without fear of judgement was a real help for my mental health at the time."
